The planned subtitles-only option keeps your original audio and adds translated captions. Dubbing creates a new AI voiceover instead. Is video translation available yet? Not yet. The site is in early access while video processing is being connected. You can explore the preview layout and select a local file, but no video is uploaded or translated. What will the free preview include? One preview of up to 10 seconds, at up to 720p, with videotranslator.online watermarked in the center. No account or payment will be required. Will the voice sound exactly like the speaker? The first release will use standard AI voices. Voice cloning and lip synchronization are not included. Which languages are planned? For supported links, the planned importer will fetch the source for you. If import fails, you can upload your own copy. Link import is not open during early access. Will every YouTube link work? No. Private, paid, age-restricted, region-restricted, live, or otherwise inaccessible videos may not import. A public link does not guarantee successful access. Can I translate a video that has no subtitles? The planned workflow transcribes speech from the audio, so existing YouTube captions are not required. Clear speech helps recognition. Will this change the original YouTube upload? No. The result will be a separate file. We will not modify or publish anything to your YouTube channel. Can I use a video from another creator? Only if you have the necessary permission or rights to process it. Availability on YouTube alone does not grant reuse rights. What happens if importing the link fails? It will be part of the video itself, including a downloaded preview. Do I have to trim the video myself? No. The service will select a short section near the first spoken passage, within the 10-second preview limit. Does passing verification give me unlimited previews? No. Verification helps reduce automated abuse; the free allowance and request limits apply separately. Changing the language or clearing local storage will not reset a server-side allowance. Can I watch the preview later? A completed free preview will be available for 24 hours. Return in the same browser without clearing its cookies. Current early access Video processing and uploads are disabled. A file selected in the preview interface stays on your device; its contents are not sent to our servers. Basic web requests are handled by Cloudflare. When processing opens Accepted videos and derived audio, transcripts, and outputs will be processed to fulfill your request. OpenAI will process the audio or text needed for translation and speech generation. Files will be stored privately, with authenticated access and short-lived download links. Account and billing information Email registration uses a password and email verification. Google sign-in shares the identity information needed to create your account, including your email address. Account and billing records link you to credits and conversion history. Stripe processes payments; we do not store full card numbers. Account and payment features remain closed until enabled and tested. Browser storage and recovery Local storage keeps task references and non-sensitive preferences. A secure, persistent anonymous cookie will identify your tasks when the processing service is enabled. Task IDs alone do not grant access. Clearing site data can remove access to an anonymous task. Retention Uploaded source files are scheduled for deletion after 24 hours, subject to an active processing task. Free previews are available for 24 hours, and completed paid results for seven days. Account and billing records are kept as needed to provide your account, handle disputes and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. A browser recovery record does not extend a file’s retention period. Verification and analytics Cloudflare Turnstile helps check automated requests. When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics measures page use and controlled interaction events. Results and limitations AI transcription, translation, and synthesized speech can make mistakes. Review names, figures, technical terms, and timing before publishing. Standard AI voices are not a clone of the original speaker, and lip synchronization is not included. Fair use Do not bypass verification, usage limits, or access controls; submit harmful files; or attempt to access another person’s content. Processing failures The service reserves credits when you confirm a full conversion and releases them if processing fails. One credit covers one second of source video, rounded up to a whole second. Restored subscription credits retain their original expiry. Restoring credits is different from refunding money to a payment method. Subscriptions and packs Monthly plans renew monthly. Annual plans charge upfront for a year and release an allowance each month; unused subscription credits expire at the next monthly release. One-time pack credits do not expire. Cancelling renewal preserves access until the end of the paid period and does not automatically refund the current period. Refund requests Review the free preview before buying. Contact support for duplicate charges, mistaken purchases, or unresolved processing problems.
